Nothing is known about ThreadRipper announcement.

AMD said the gen 3 TR and Epyc are going to launch in Q3 probably mid quarter, this was said in the earnings conference call on April 30th.

I am interested when will AMD release capable, cool, low power but fast, stable and secure mobile CPUs? After the security issues debacle by Intel I don't wont to ever again buy anything made by them but there isn't an alternative. Most people buy mobile not Threadrippers.

Bummer. I know it's only two weeks, but I was really hoping we'd also get the Navi news on 5/27.

with radeon vii the announcement and performance reveal was very close to launch

Well that's some poor timing for sure. Midnight and 04:00, not exactly ideal for watching hour-long streams.

Still, VERY excited for both of these. And I would very happily accept AMD going back on their word of not launching MCM APUs with Matisse, thank you.

ARE YOU EXCITED!? Let the Hype train start...
In all seriousness, I have quite high hopes for the products announced in the event.

myself as well. Im dissapointed with nvidia lately. They need a bit of an amd slap so they can drop all this ugly graphics, poor performing, price mega hicking rtx crap. radeon vii only matched them in value. navi could be huge if it performs well and lands the sony and microsoft consoles. because it will be a rather unique architecture and games optimized for it would likely not be well optimized for traditional cards. nvidia will have a bigger step than when they were forced to make their own architectures gcn-like.

Years late and slow. No hype, just typical AMD
  • gijames1225 - Tuesday, May 14, 2019 - link

Ok, so Computex for CPUs and E3 for GPUs. I was hoping for Navi news at Computex, but I guess I can wait a bit longer.

I miss the old days of Comdex, things are just more confusing today

Most likely we will see Radeon 630 and Radeon 640. Maybe those amd 50 years versions of Ryzen 2700 and Vega56 cards and so on!
There is a long time to 3rd quarter of this year!
Hopefully Also some announcement of AMD raytrasing plans.
  • sgeocla - Tuesday, May 14, 2019 - link

3rd quarter of the year begins on July 1st. AMD & Computex association already announced next gen Ryzen launch for Computex and 'Navi reveal'.
For E3 AMD announced next gen graphics, next gen consoles and game streaming services.
As you can clearly see with the naked eye there is a 7 in horiZon as a hint for all new 7nm products.
People say Q3 because AMD they will be shipping for revenue in Q3 and all that means is just that there will not be any noticeable difference in Q2 sales because they will sell for less than a month of Q2 (June).
