The month of Radeon R7 250 giveaways continues! Last week we chose three winners for a stack of MSI Radeon R7 250s, and this week AMD is giving us three more - this time courtesy of PowerColor - to give away.

Lately there's been a lot of excitement around value video cards. Part of it is due to the simple fact that for low resolution gaming, you can generally approximate the experience of a modern game console with fairly low end hardware.

Late last year AMD announced its Radeon R7 250, an Oland based part priced at $89 for the value discrete market. The R7 250 also serves as an interesting Dual Graphics/CrossFire option for Kaveri users looking to increase the performance of their processor graphics.

AMD wants to give a bunch of these R7 250s away to users who can really use them. This week we're giving away three Radeon R7 250s from MSI to three lucky readers.

Here's the deal. To enter, simply post a comment below (US residents only, please only make a single post, contest requirements below) explaining your current PC setup and why you want, or need to win a Radeon R7 250. What I'm looking for here is an understanding of what your current system configuration is, why the Radeon R7 250 matters you and how you'd use it. Make your entries good as they may come in handy for some other stuff we've got planned in the future. If your entry from last time still applies, feel free to re-use it.

If you win, AMD wants your feedback on the GPU after you get it. You'll be asked to provide a short review (a paragraph or two, or video if you'd like) talking about your experience with the card. Do a good job and your feedback may even be featured on AnandTech.

Every week my brother and I play SWTOR as a way to keep in touch (he lives in Florida and I live in Iowa). Every week my brother's computer crashes in the middle because he is running a Dell Inspiron 660 with the integrated Intel HD graphics. I have been wanting to upgrade his graphics card without replacing the power supply. I think the AMD Radeon R7 250 would be perfect for this as it does not require a separate power connector. Thanks

My current HTPC setup is running with an old HD 4850 from an old gaming build. The R7 250 would make for a nice lower power system that's still capable of running good framerates on the games I play from that computer. The rest of the system is running with an older Vertex 2 SSD for some decent load speeds, a WD Green drive for media storage, and an FX-8320 that I got at a huge discount all on a well-priced Asus M5A78 USB3 motherboard.

This would help to build a rig to escape my Macbook.

This would make an excellent upgrade to my auxiliary computer, which functions as a home server and acts as the PC that friends use when they come over to game. Currently it is running an A10-5800K, which is enough for older games, but struggles on newer titles since it's driving a 1920x1080 display. The R7 250 would be a pretty solid boost for that, or my dad's PC which is running an HD 5670 which was an excellent card when I bought it for him... four years ago....

    AMD for life!

Repeat of what I posted for the other R7 250 that I doubt I won. Swap out my GT 640 ion the family computer. We do some LAN gaming in the house and the rest of the time I am not being green by burning up electricity mining some crypto and warming the house cause its still winter in MN. Though at 65 Watts I may need to pack in the PCIe slots.

    ASUS P5Q Pro E8500 3.16Ghz
    8GB ram
    Radeon HD 6870
    610 PSU
I am in need of this card! My current card needs a boost to help render Titanfall (and other games) better. I have to have everything turned way down :( - Thank you for the chance! Good luck all

Same comment as the last 2 giveaways:

I bought an FM2+ motherboard and a cheap non-APU Richland processor (Athlon X2 370) several months ago for a machine that is mostly desktop use, with occasional light gaming. My intention was to put a Kaveri APU in when they came out, but now I'm trying to decide whether that really makes sense or not. Dual crossfire is definitely a consideration, but I’m a little uncertain where I want to go at this point.

Currently this box has two video cards, a 6770 and a 5450, driving 3X 1920x1200 24" monitors. The plan is to put the 6770 into my 6 year old son's AM3 machine that used to occupy this desk (Phenom II 555BE, 3rd core unlocked, slight overclock, old HD4000 series video card that used to be where the 5450 was before the drivers were moved to legacy status and things got borked), and buy an A10-7850K and give the dual crossfire a whirl. It would probably meet my needs for this box, but I’m just having trouble convincing myself.

Oh, I own about 5000 shares of AMD stock that I refuse to take the loss on, if someone wants to add that to the consideration list of why I should win something nice from AMD. :)
